Task description: Kia ora, today in literacy class, my group and I did a response to text task about Matariki. Something new I learnt while reading the text is that Matariki is known in other parts. Something I found challenging about this task was me trying to find another constellation like Taurus. And lastly , something I can do better next time is learn new Maori words so I can understand them better.
Task description: This week we are learning about Matariki. We did facts about matariki and we had to do a poster for 7 year olds. we had to answer the questions and it was really fun.
My Highlight for term 2 was the Matariki fun day! I enjoyed the Matariki fun day because we all got to do something fun with our teacher!
I was with Miss Parrant, Miss Parrant’s Group was silhouette art! I enjoyed silhouette art because we got to paint and cut out some things we found interesting to us on google!
In our group there were Kensi, Kisa , Luisa and people from the other rooms.We did the Matariki fun day In week 8 on Wednesday the 24th June.
The matariki was my favourite Part about Term 2 because everyone got to have heaps of fun and we all learned something New! Also It was cool seeing other peoples creations!
