Calculating Distances.

Good afternoon , today for maths my class and I did a task called “calculating distances”. For this task, we had to use google maps and had to estimate how long it would take for us to travel from Point England School to Sylvia Park for example. I really enjoyed this task and would like to do more like this. Please check out my slides and leave a positive comment.

Multiplication.

Task desc: Malo e Lelei everyone, today for maths me , Qweenie, Sapphire and Moimoi did Mulitiplaction with Mr Moran. Mr Moran gave us all a question to solve and the question I got given was 24×12. I first split the 12 into 10 and 2. I then did 24×10 and 24×2 and they both equal 240 and 48. The last step I did was add them together and they added up to 288. Area of Squares and rectangles.

WALT: Malo e lelei. Welcome to my blog, this week we have been learning all about base and height from squares and rectangles. Mr Moran taught us how to do this by timing the base and the height together and then halfing the answer that you get from timing the numbers.
